Mental Fabrications of Domination Called "the Law"
The ideas and arguments that make up the system of ideas called "federal Indian law" were mentally fabricated by Christian European men in the past who called themselves "white."
The concepts, ideas, arguments that make up what is typically called federal Indian law were created by eminent men in the past. A mentally created claim that the United States has the right to maintain a system of domination over Native nations serves as the premise of that system of ideas. None of those ideas are physically tangible because they are a result of the thought processes of the human mind. For this reason, they are called metaphysical. Once we understand this, however, we can then begin to figure out how to directly challenge the dominators’ mental claim of a right of domination over our lives. An excellent starting point is for us to refuse to accept the assertion that there is an actual right to establish and maintain domination over others. Dominators may claim it all they want, but as far as we’re concerned, such a right of domination does not actually exist.

Vine Deloria Jr. said "before the white man can relate to others he must forego the pleasure of defining them." I think Vine was talking about the metaphysical process of projection, by which people attribute to others what is in their own minds.
When people "believe" metaphysical projections of domination, the "believing" then becomes a process of internalizing domination which is part of the process in the digestive track of colonization and believing in it's legal fictions. There is Natural Lore and man-made laws.

good to show the importance of 'metaphysics' .... a word many (most?) people have no idea about... and therefore they wander in their efforts to comprehend ...
