I lost respect for her, seems a few years ago, when she was promoting her book This Changes Everything and an Ecuadorian (indigenous) man was giving a short presentation. Please refrain from abusing critical thinking as an initiation rite for the anointed. Nobody knows everything, and no piece of truthful knowledge can be privileged above another piece of truthful knowledge (needless to say this doesn't apply to Newcomb's thoughtful take on Naomi Klein's *Doppelganger*). Why? Because Newcomb doesn't generically condemn all things Naomi. His appraoch is somewhat similar to that of 'Burn Back Better', Shelby Hosana's (et al's) book on the Lahaina inferno and its aftermath.
Hosana outlines three 'camps' and fairly weighs their merits and demerits - without forfeiting her clarity or personal take. This seems to me the way to go, since it values specifics; unless you wish to condemn Ed Dowd, John Leake, etc. in one fell swoop - merely for not, or not yet, including DEW's in their otherwise valid considerations on malfeasance on Maui (even geoengineering-watcher Dane Wigington is reticent on this score, and Shelby H tells us that there's no factual evidence for their use).

Good highlighting of how Klein glosses over and/or refuses to look into the deeper layers. I lost respect for her, seems a few years ago, when she was promoting her book This Changes Everything and an Ecuadorian (indigenous) man was giving a short presentation. Towards the end of his talk she rushed him off stage, indicating that time was an issue, but then she was not short of time to promote her book. Writing a book about climate issues but then being disrespectful to a People often on the front lines is hypocritical.
