Maher was right on that one. People who complain about “stolen land” should lead by example and give theirs back to the indigenous.

I quit watching Bill Maher years ago because he is an example of the dumb end of the Dunning Kruger effect.

He has an unappealing arrogance that is not supported by thoughtful understanding of an issue to find the real joke. He's a cheap shot artist.

While many treaties were signed across Canada resulting in unbelievable territorial abuses, British Columbia First Nations did not sign any treaties thus maintaining their land rights. Slowly, land use agreements have been ratified giving First Nations self governance, land use approvals and a share of the economic benefits of any development of the their historical lands. It is the right thing to do.

Proud to be a Savage Barbarian Pagan ... so if stolen is not the best word to use what is? Time to correct and restore. Wopila.

Lisa, Steve can probably have a better answer as to what word to use instead of "stolen", but your question reminded me of an invisible image i've considered before... that yellow with black letters crime scene tape. For all the various atrocities, the country could be surrounded with that tape, or when someone goes on vacation to a beautiful national park, if they had to walk past the yellow tape to get in, they'd think twice instead of simply vacationing.
